Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1 April 2020 and 31 March 2021.

The statement sets down Accuro’s commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and the steps we have put in place with the aim of ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our own business and supply chains. We all have a duty to be alert to risks, however small.  Staff are expected to report their concerns and management to act upon them.

Accuro is a leading provider of secure, UK-based outsourced transcription services to the professional sectors.  We employ a dedicated team of professionals in our offices in Knutsford and work with a panel of professional transcribers based throughout the UK.

The way we do business is based on our values and reflects the behaviours that we want to be known for.  We run our business with integrity and want our culture and values to be at the heart of everything we do.

Assessing our risks

We have assessed and consider the risk of modern slavery existing within our business to be low.  However, we continue to take steps to ensure that we remain alert to any potential risks of modern slavery within our operations and supply chain.

The Company is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or our supply chains. This Statement affirms its intention to act ethically in our business relationships.  In addition to this policy we have a number of policies which state how we do business and the steps we have taken to ensure we are fair, transparent, inclusive and responsible: –

  • Anti-bribery;
  • Equal opportunities and diversity;
  • Environmental;
  • Harassment and bullying.

Accuro complies with all applicable employment legislation relating to employee terms and conditions and we invest in the development and health and wellbeing of our team.

All suppliers are assessed through a procurement procedure to ensure that they fit with Accuro’s values.  The way we recruit transcribers to our panel is fair and transparent and follows a documented procedure to ensure that all applicants are given the same opportunities.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement will be regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. Accuro’s Board of Directors endorses this policy statement and is fully committed to its implementation.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement has been approved and authorised by Helen Healiss, Managing Director.
